In 1994 I (Aagje) started looking for a collie in the age of approximately one year to accompany me and Cindy, a collie bitch (with no pedigree) which I already owned. My search resulted in a visit to a breeder in Utrecht, who had a one year old Sable dog for me. It was on that same visit where I saw a bluemerle collie and this was love at first sight. I took the Sable dog called "Beer" home with me and knew that at one time a bluemerle collie would follow.
Not long after Beer, his mother "Bella" also joined us, at that time eight years old. Then in 1995 finally my bluemerle dog was a fact. It was "Zoomerang Colynia’s Paradise" a dog of eight months old with the petname "Bono". With his arrival I started starting to think about breeding, so I registered my kennel with the name "Zoomerangs Paradijs", which needs no explanation.
For breeding a bitch is needed, which resulted in Lasca, a tricolour. She entered our home in 1995. In 1997 she had her first litter.
After Lasca, Scotty and Femke joined us in 1997 and 1998, both bluemerles. Femke became the mother three litters (all by Ch.His Majesty From Higher Grounds). From Femkes first litter a bluemerle bitch "Jelleke" stayed. Anouschka is a daughter from Femkes second litter. Both Jelleke and Anouschka had their first litters in 2004.
Angel, a tricolour bitch who lives with friends on breeding terms, had her first litter, of only one puppy, in 2001. The happy fact was that finally Scotty became a father for the first time, followed by a litter of five puppies four months later. In 2003 his third and final litter of nine puppies was born. In 2005 we decided that Scotty deserves a quit senior life and will be no longer available for studservice.
Sadly we had to let Lasca go and lost Cindy, Belle, Beer and Bono during this period of time.
With only bluemerles left in our house, we decided to change that and Shadow, a trifactored sable joined us in May 2003. Later that year a wish came true and we finally had a daughter of our own Scotty. Lily, a tricolour girl, came to join her dad. She gave birth to her first litter of six puppies (all girls) on 31-12-2003. Of this litter Samara stayed.
